What is a casino game like once you take the money out of it?

Calmer, quicker to learn, and impossible to lose anything on. Maple Arcade Club has four of them — a dice throw, a scratch card, a climbing multiplier and a grid of hidden hazards — all played with virtual coins that cost nothing and are worth nothing.

The four games

Each one has its own theme and its own set of rules, and each one prints its payouts before you play. Scroll the row, then read the pace-and-difficulty rundown underneath.

Ancient Egypt

Two cream dice with gold pips on a purple stone plinth carved with hieroglyph-style symbols. Dice

Scarab Dice

Two dice, one throw. Back the total to fall under seven, over seven, or name the exact number for a longer payout — the win chance for every bet is printed beside it.

Sakura Nights

A stack of purple and gold scratch cards beside a glowing paper lantern, with blossom petals falling. Scratch

Lantern Scratch

Nine panels hide a blossom-lit card. Rub them away with a pointer, a fingertip or the keyboard; three matching symbols pays, and every prize lists its exact chance.

Pirate Cove

A rope rising over a rolled treasure map on timber planks, with a gold star token at the top of the rope. Multiplier

Doubloon Climb

The multiplier climbs from 1.00× while the rope holds. Where it snaps is drawn before the round begins, so the only decision that matters is when you let go.

Underwater Reef

A grid of gold-edged tiles on pale sand, lit by aqua light, with coral growing at the edges. Grid

Reef Diver

Turn over tiles and keep clear of the urchins underneath. Each safe tile raises the multiplier by a step you can check against the grid, and surfacing is always your call.

Pace and difficulty, game by game

Rough guide to what you are getting into. Round lengths are typical, not fixed — nothing here is timed and nothing pushes you to keep going.

Four games compared by how long a round takes and how much there is to learn.
Game Learning curve A round takes What you decide
Scarab Dice Nothing to learn — pick a bet and throw About 10 seconds Stake, and which of the three bet types
Lantern Scratch Very easy, the card does the work 20 to 40 seconds Stake, and whether to scratch panel by panel
Doubloon Climb Easy rules, hard nerves 2 to 20 seconds Stake, and the moment you let go of the rope
Reef Diver Some thinking — the odds shift as you go 30 seconds to a few minutes Stake, urchin count, and when to surface

Four themes, one art style

The games are drawn in a single style — soft, toy-like shading that makes every piece look like something you could pick up off a table. The themes underneath are what keep them apart.

Four display plinths in a row holding a gold scarab with a die, a glowing lantern with blossom petals, a coiled rope with a treasure map, and a cluster of coral with bubbles.
  • Ancient Egypt

Scarab Dice sits on carved purple stone with gold pips and a hieroglyph-style border. The dice are the brightest thing on the table, which is the point.

  • Sakura Nights

Lantern Scratch works in blossom pink and lantern gold. Panels tear away with a paper edge, and petals drift across the card between rounds.

  • Pirate Cove

Doubloon Climb is drawn in rope, timber and parchment. The climbing line is a rope, the marker is a star-struck token, and the snap is abrupt.

  • Underwater Reef

Reef Diver puts its grid on pale sand under aqua light. Safe tiles open onto coral; the urchins are drawn in the same soft shading, which makes them no less annoying.

Five gold play tokens embossed with a plain leaf, stacked loosely with one standing on its edge.

How the coins work

One balance covers all four games. It lives in your browser, not on a server, and it behaves the same whether you play for two minutes or two hours.

  • You start with 10,000. That balance appears on your first visit and shows in the header on every page.
  • A daily top-up refills it. On your first visit each calendar day, anything below 10,000 is brought back up to 10,000 at no cost.
  • Reset whenever you like. Every game screen has a reset control that puts the balance back to 10,000, so running out is never the end of anything.
  • They buy nothing and mean nothing. Coins cannot be purchased, won as prizes, exchanged, redeemed or withdrawn. They have no monetary value, here or anywhere else.

Questions people actually ask

Do I need an account to play?
No, and there is nothing to sign up for. Your balance and play history are kept in this browser's local storage, which means a different device starts fresh at 10,000 coins and clearing your site data resets this one.
Can I buy coins if I run out?
No. There is no shop, no coin bundle and no payment of any kind on this site. If you hit zero, use the reset control on any game screen or come back tomorrow for the daily top-up.
Are the games weighted to keep me playing?
Outcomes come from crypto.getRandomValues, one independent draw per round, and each game publishes its full paytable with the win chance beside every payout. Doubloon Climb draws its snap point before the round starts; Reef Diver places its urchins before your first tile. Nothing is nudged after the fact, and there are no manufactured near misses.
Does playing here make me better at real gambling?
It does not. These games copy the mechanics of casino games and leave out the money, so a good run here says nothing about a real-money game. Success at social casino games does not imply future success at real-money gambling.
Will the games work on a phone?
Yes. Every game is built for touch first, with controls big enough to hit accurately, and each one also runs from the keyboard alone. Nothing shifts under your finger part-way through a round.
