About Maple Arcade Club

A club of four casino-style games with the money taken out. Here is what we build, how the games work under the hood, and the things we have deliberately left out.

What the club actually is

Maple Arcade Club is a small set of casino-style games that run in your browser and cost nothing to play. You get 10,000 virtual coins on arrival, the games take those coins as stakes and pay them back out, and that is the whole economy. Nothing converts to money in either direction.

We are not a casino, an affiliate or a middle step on the way to one. There is no shop, no payment form, no link to a betting site, and no gaming licence — social casino games do not need one, because there is nothing at stake.

Why everything is free

Free-to-play games usually earn their keep by selling coins once the free ones run out. That single decision changes how a game gets designed: pacing tightens, losses sting harder, and the shop appears at the worst moment. We skipped it. There is nothing to sell here, so the games can be paced for enjoyment instead.

The knock-on effect is that a bad run costs you nothing but time. When the balance runs down, the reset control on every game screen puts it back to 10,000, and a new calendar day tops it up on its own.

How the four games are made

A work table with a colour swatch fan, three game art studies propped up, a pencil, a paper prototype and a die.

Art studies and swatches — the games share one rendering style so the club feels like one place.

Every game is plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript with no framework underneath, which is why they load quickly and work offline once the page is open. Outcomes come from crypto.getRandomValues, the same source your browser uses for cryptographic work, drawn fresh for each round.

The art follows one rule: soft, toy-like shading, as though each piece were moulded and put on a table. Themes then pull the four games apart — carved stone for Scarab Dice, lantern light for Lantern Scratch, rope and parchment for Doubloon Climb, and aqua sand for Reef Diver.

Payouts are published on each game page with the real chance beside them. Where we could make a bet exactly fair without wrecking the game, we did: a seven on Scarab Dice returns your stake rather than taking it, which leaves the under and over bets breaking even over the long run.

Who this is for

Adults who like the shape of casino games — the decisions, the odds, the small moment before a result — and would rather not put money near them. The site is for 19 and over, or 18 and over in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec.

It is not for anyone hoping to get better at real gambling. The maths here is friendlier than any real table, and a good session says nothing about what happens with money on the line. If gambling has become a problem for you or someone close to you, our responsible play page lists free, confidential help across Canada.

What you will not find

Two dice, three face-down purple cards and a loose stack of gold and purple play tokens on an ivory surface.

Play pieces, not currency: the tokens in these games exist only as a number in your browser.

  • Deposits, purchases, coin bundles, in-app payments or donation prompts.
  • Prizes, sweepstakes coins, cash-outs, redemptions or any exchange of coins for anything.
  • Links, referrals or affiliate arrangements with real-money casinos or betting sites.
  • Regulator, lottery-corporation or licensing logos, and any claim of approval or oversight.
  • Invented player counts, fake reviews, leaderboards of strangers or countdowns pushing you to keep playing.

Spotted something that looks like an exception to that list? Tell us — we would rather fix it than defend it.
