How to play

Set a stake, then press Set sail. The stake leaves your balance and the climb starts at 1.00×.
Press Cash out at any point. You receive your stake multiplied by the number showing at that moment, rounded down.
If the rope snaps first, the round is over and the stake stays on the table.
An automatic cash-out lets go for you at a multiplier you choose in advance.

Where the rope snaps

Before the climb starts, the game takes one random number u between 0 and 1 and sets the snap point to 0.99 ÷ (1 − u), rounded down to two decimals. That gives a clean rule: the chance of the rope reaching any multiplier m is 0.99 ÷ m.

Cash out at the target and you keep stake × target. The one per cent gap is the whole house edge.

About two rounds in a hundred snap at 1.00× before you can do anything. That is not the game being unkind — it falls straight out of the formula.

No last-second changes

The snap point is fixed when the round starts and never adjusted, whatever your stake or your last ten rounds looked like. Your cash-out is checked against a number that was already decided, so a cash-out at 4.99× on a 5.00× rope pays in full.
